Who Goes to HEAVEN

Heaven
The Chosen

When you die, if you are a good person you go to Heaven.

If you are a bad person, you go to Hell.

     NOT ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES

Everyone who dies is going to Hell (pit, tomb, hidden place). All of us, good or bad, whether we like the idea  or not, are going to Hell.

Only one person has died, was resurrected and has gone to Heaven. That one person is Jesus, the Christ. No other personality is specifically pointed out to have made this transition

Two other men were mysteriously dealt with. One was Enoch.

The other was Elijah.

2 Kings 2:11

And it came about as they were walking along speaking as they walked. Why, look! A fiery war chariot and fiery horses, and they proceeded to make a separation between both; and Elijah went ascending in a windstorm to the Heavens.

These two men did not die (according to Scripture) and therefore, were never resurrected as was Jesus. Sheer conjecture is at play for any other explanation other than what the Scriptures said regarding these events.

There are three Heavens that separate the Earth from all that is above. First is the area of the sky between the planet and space; then there is space or the universe and then beyond that is the residence of God himself....God's home. If it is an actual space it is obviously too far away for us to locate. Scripture indicates it is an actual space ant a third or fourth indistinct dimension. The Heaven that captures everybody's attention is the third Heaven, God's Heaven, the only place in the universe where only the "right sort" of citizens reside or will reside. What does Scripture say about who goes there? encamp

Who goes to Heaven is not a simple explanation because so much misleading has occurred. These misleading statements include such as "Watch out, Johnny. Granny is watching you from Heaven" and "Jane is much better off now that she is in Heaven" and other statements of similar ilk.

Scripture has this to say about humanity in general and the Earth

Humanity and the Earth

Genesis 2:5

Now there was as yet no bush of the field found yet in the earth and no vegatation of the field was as yet sprouting, because Jehovah God had not made it rain upon the earth and there was no man to cultivate the ground.

Genesis 1:28

Further, God blessed them and God said to them: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it,  and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying

creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth."

Psalms 15:16

As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong, but the earth he has given to the sons of man.

Isaiah 45:18

For this is what Jehovah has said, the creator of the heavens, the true God, the former of the earth and the maker of it, He the one who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

Psalms 37:29

The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.

Matthew 5:5

Happy are the mild tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

The Scriptures above tell us that humanity is the intended inheritors of the earth, not Heaven. Under what Revelation designates as the Seventh Trumpet, scripture says:

                                          Revelation 11:18

But the nations became wrathful, and Your own wrath came, and the

appointed to be judged, and to give reward to Your prophets and the

Holy Ones and to those fearing Your name, the small and the great,

and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.

Revelation 20 tells of an angel coming down from Heaven and throwing Satan into the abyss for 1,000 years so that he can't mislead the nations. Did you catch that? The nations still exist, the earth is not destroyed and Heaven has not been the destination of the "good" who have already died.

The idea about "die and go to Heaven is a carefully contrived falsehood. Scripture does not teach this. Those who do go to Heaven are the Chosen, a select group of leaders.
